So, while Chris and I make regular doctors appointments and find things to do to enjoy this time (mani/pedi for me yesterday, then we went to another movie in the afternoon - and this morning? Chris is making buttermilk pancakes from scratch. Yummy!), I thought it would be nice to ask for those reading to leave a comment with a short note or prayer for baby Owen. I found a photo book web site that pulls all my blog posts into a photo book, which I plan to print out once this little guy is born for those fun pregnancy memories. Adding the notes from friends and family will be a blessing! We did something similar at one of Owen's showers and it was so great to read all the fun things people wrote to my little guy.
I know some have had a hard time with the comments, but if you click on the Comments hyperlink below the picture, you should be able to type a note to Owen (please leave your name) and select an Anonymous profile if you do not have one.
Beautiful Baby Owen, I am so very glad God saw it fit to answer all of our prayers and send you to 2 very wonderful people! You will have a home full of love, parents full of wisdom and understanding, and most important, an upbringing of godliness. I know you are going to be an amazing blessing in your parents' lives because you already are! I pray you will be easy on them! Love them and know they love you. ReplyDeleteWell you're finally here! We are so excited to meet you, almost as excited as your mommy and daddy were when they got to see you for the first time! I bet you are sleeping right now in mommy's arms.
Before long you will be running away from her while she follows behind saying,"Owen James Shaddix, you get back here mister!" If you are anything like the other Shaddix boys I am sure you will be up to mischief in no time at all! But also, I am sure you will have a big big heart and silly personality to go along with it!
You, mommy, and daddy are going to have some wonderful adventures together! Some really amazing times, and some hard times. But what I do know is that the Hand of the Lord is already upon you, and upon your parents, and He will be there with you every step of the way!
So, welcome to the world! It is an exciting place! Have fun, get dirty, shoot guns, squish bugs, and explore!
