Endorsement Time

Most of the items I've purchased and materials I am reading all are to prepare me for Owen's first few months. It is a lot to soak in! But, there are two prenatal investments I've made that I absolutely love! I splurged and purchased a set of bellybuds and they are so much fun! I hook these up to my iPod so Owen can listen to music (he kicks and moves around the most to Matt Redman and the Beetles and is completely calm with classical music) and hear Chris's voice. I play old podcasts from Chris's bible study in Ephesians. Each time I turn the podcasts on I can feel Owen move around to get close to the speakers and it seems like he just taps where the bellybuds are at. It's pretty cute! It's hard to tell if his responses are good, or if he's trying to give a hint to turn that sound off! It will be interesting to see if he has any response to what I am playing for him now four months from now. Anytime I have the bellybuds on it is a great time for Chris to feel Owen move around too. I don't plan on posting any photos with these pasted on my belly, but the picture I found online it a pretty good idea of how we are enjoying our evenings!

The other prenatal purchases I am so glad I did is prenatal fitness classes and purchasing a new stability ball (aka "birthing ball" at this point in life). I am finding the ball to function more as a chair than a work out ball at the moment, but it is great and makes a huge difference with all the time I need to sit for work. Between the classes, at home work out videos and THE ball, the aches and pains from all this growing have become much more tolerable! It's good stuff.
